This is what Dave had to say about this release, and I couldn’t agree more: “Inspired by my love for Mom & Pop Halloween stores, and that feeling I had as a kid walking through each aisle. A little afraid, but in a FUN way! I would always think of each mask as a live character, and what they would talk like if in a haunted house. I would scare myself on purpose to make things even more scarier! Haha! To me, this EP brings the scary, magic feeling of classic 80s/90s Halloween shops back to life! All my stuff is influenced by SPOOKY SOUNDS FX cassettes and nerdy Horror soundtracks, so both tracks have a lofi 80s feel to them. A lot of those tapes were made to SCARE you, the synth sounds on ’em were frightening. So I kept both tracks raw, gritty, and demented sounding.
