The Halloween Kid!
Here’s one more reason to look forward to the Halloween Season 2013: Rhode Montijo’s “The Halloween Kid Animated Special”. From Rhode’s page:
The Halloween Kid Animated Special is about a mysterious masked boy who goes beyond his limits to defend Halloween. The special is being animated by Japan’s Sanzigen (Black Rock Shooter, Cyborg 009) which is a part of Ultra Super Pictures, and produced in collaboration with Crooked Smile (David Choe and Good Smile Company). The screenplay is written by my good friend and storyboard artist extraordinaire, Jamie Baker.
If Rhode’s name sounds familiar, it’s because he won the Second Annual Faces of the Great Pumpkin Art Contest in 2012!
Glow-in-the-dark Haunted Mansion tee
“I’m at LAX as I type this, heading home from a great family spring break in LA that culminated with a trip to Disneyland. While I was at the Mouse, I happened upon this killer Haunted Mansion t-shirt, which wasn’t available in my size at first, but later got re-stocked. I’m wearing it now. it is awesome Alas, it appears to be a park-only item (neener-neener), though you can always try Disneyland Deliv-EARS (and yes, it glows in the dark)”
Welcome to the Horror Show | Halloween Music Kickstarter Campaign
Friend of the Cult and musical mashup master Paulo Cheekyboy, aka Sam Hayne, is mounting a Kickstarter campaign to “release a new collection of dark horror music for Halloween 2013. This 19 track album is a collection of atmospheric sounds and dark electro soundtrack music with special remixes from well known Mashup Producers. Your involvement in our campaign will mean that we can get this album released in time for Halloween 2013.”
Cheekyboy has had a major hand in releasing a number of monstrously fun macabre mashups in the past; if you’d like to have more, donate – the minimum is only a buck!
